Cara Clements is a graphic designer, illustrator, and art director currently pursuing dual degrees in Media Studies (concentration in Media Making) and Integrated Visual Arts (concentration in Graphic Design) from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. For years, Cara used illustration and graphic design as an outlet for stress-relief and relaxation, but earlier this year, she decided to start expanding her reach and sharing her work with the world via her small business, Cara Mak Design. She specializes in logo design, branding, website design, editorial design for magazines, type and image-led graphic design, art direction, and illustration. Cara Clements came in at the seventh spot for the Best Miss Evening Gowns of 2019. She wore a bold red gown that is sure to turn heads. This gown featured an elongated one shoulder that was floor length. The red on red flowers that accented the gown and the sleeve made for a nice addition. With this unique gown, it is no surprise that she has landed at the seventh spot....

Bagging for a Cause
Every time a (cow) bell rang at the Rome Kroger Saturday between the times of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., a cheer went up and it meant Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta had received another donation from a Kroger customer. At checkout, customers were assisted by either a Miss America titleholder or a volunteer who helped them bag groceries while telling them about why they were there....
Celebrating Empowering Pi Phis
Cara is currently pursuing dual undergraduate degrees from Emory University in media studies and marketing, and when she’s not diving deep into my studies, she spends the majority of her time advocating for a cause that is exponentially important to her: mental health and destigmatizing mental illness....
Miss Rome Brings smiles to kids at CHOA
Clements said, “Being able to use my year as Miss Rome to continually advocate for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and CHOA has been amazing. This event was something I had been planning for quite some time, and seeing so many kids’ faces light up when I sang a song, danced, or gave out hugs was absolutely incredible. That’s what being Miss Rome is all about– making an impact in kids’ lives"....

“For me writing this was sort of a way to give a resource to people who may find it hard to reach out or find it hard to increase their own happiness,” Clements said. “I want people who do struggle to be able to get better and feel better because I know exactly how it feels to be in their shoes”....
2018 Best Bodies in Pageantry
Cara Clements was voted in the ninth spot for the Top 10 Miss Pageant Bodies of 2018. In this year's pageant, she showed off the hard work she's been putting in at the gym. With her pronounced collar bone and chiseled shoulders, she worked her way to the Top 10 list for this year! Her white two piece swimsuit would leave any contestant jealous....
Freshman Publishes Mental Health Guidance Book
Clements first became interested in promoting mental health when she began competing in the Miss America Organization, which provides scholarships for contestants who advocate for various causes. Clements holds the title of Miss Rome 2019 after competing in the local Georgia pageant, and has previously been crowned Miss Greater Stone Mountain 2018 and Miss Starr’s Mills’s Outstanding Teen 2017....
Students Shine at 2017 Miss Starr's Mill Pageant
The Miss Starr’s Mill Pageant began in 2002 as a fundraiser for the drama department to help fund their shows. This is the second year math teacher Emily Willis has taken over leading and organizing the pageant since the retirement of former drama teacher David Spearman. The production was organized with the help of current drama teacher Andrew Snider, German and dance teacher Antonela Kljajic, and the Drama Booster Club parents....
Clements Qualifies for Miss Georgia
Because of her success in the Miss Starr’s Mill Pageant, Clements gained the ability to take her talents to the next level, which was the Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen competition. This competition is run by the Miss America Organization with contestants ranging from 13 to 17 years old and little to lots of experience. Located at Columbus State University, the one-week camp was full of rehearsals and events leading up to the competition....
Cara Clements has a True Passion for Advocacy
Cara, age 18, has received numerous academic and non-academic honors, earned a scholarship for correcting online closed-captioning for the hearing impaired, and was selected as the leading Pro Lobbyist for the 2018 Close Up Foundation National Conference–Wide Mock Congress in Washington, D.C. She’s a Governor’s Honors Program Theatre Major Finalist and an AP Scholar....
